Welcome to the first exhibition in Switzerland where the selection of the works of my Swiss students will be presented together with my paintings, under the name Atelier Margot - School of Japanese Painting.
In addition, I will give a lecture about "SUMI-E – Insights into Japanese ink painting" on Friday, June 3, from 6 pm
I will talk about the history of sumi-e and admit explanations about the different styles as well as the ones used materials. Moreover, I will provide you with the information about the philosophy of ink painting, the popular themes and important aspects of Japanese painting. At the end, I will demonstrate interesting techniques and gives examples.
